Awww little Rory :-)  :hearts:
My dogs over the years have helped me through some very dark times. Pets are a valuable part of life, I know getting a cat has made such a difference to a dear friend who lost his wife and finding his way through his grief journey. Xx
Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise.
Hold on in there xx

Good morning Brian - has Rory forgiven you yet
I'll never get over losing her and I used to think that eventually
I would learn to live with it - that's not happened yet.

Pets certainly know how to get round their humans (I was going to say owners but I'm not sure who owns who  ). Surprising how quickly things heal in the young of any species.

I've had flowers of one sort or another in the garden for most of the winter. A couple of shrubs flower on and off in particular some viburnums that I layered from a single plant years ago. I've got dozens of Hellebores that are self sets from two originals one white and one red. The red ones seem to be rarer than the white. Snowdrops are more or less finished now but the first of the daffs are already showing colour.

I sometimes fear that my photography days are over. Poor health makes things pretty difficult for me particularly the fact that I had a stroke some years back and although I got over it pretty well, I'm very unsteady on my pins. I had a fall on the stairs a while back and partially ruptured a ligament in my shoulder and holding my camera up is painful - hohum .

I gave all my old gear away quite a long time ago. I did buy myself a new scanner a few weeks ago and I have been scanning all the old photos I've got of the family. It's been a real trip down memory lane, bitter sweet and more than once I've found myself looking at an old photo for minutes at a time wishing that I had got a time machine .

Anyway tell Rory I hope he's alright and to try not to be frightened of that man in the white coat!!

It was my daughter's nagging that prompted me to start scanning. She had been in my loft and said that there were boxes of photos, mostly from when I cleared my Mums house, and she didn't recognise a lot of the people. She asked me to scan them and add info about them so that's my long term project. Once I've finished scanning, phase 2 is sorting them all out and creating video slideshows with text to say who they are. I know there are a few of people that I don't recognise from the 1920's & 30's of Mums friends. It'll keep me out of trouble anyway  :cheesy:

I don't think there has ever been a generation which didn't have a lot of people in it who said something like, "I wish I had asked Mum/Dad about xxxxxxxxxxxxx" when I had the chance   :azn:
