Plodding on
« on: January 23, 2018, 09:48:17 PM »
It is nearly two weeks since we lost my sister and the funeral is booked.  I had to go back to work because if I don't work I don't get paid. My job is very busy, so good in one way as no time to dwell.  But at times it is a struggle to hold it all together, I would really like to stay in bed.

Seemingly life goes on - (honestly some numpty said this to me just after my Mum died) - I just keep plodding on.   And that is really all you can do, hang on in there.

I know that it will get better in time but it doesn't feel like it today.  I miss Sue so much, she was my big sister for almost sixty years and I feel like part of me has gone with her.

plodding on is a good title, we do try too -  but its fine if sometimes we stumble or take a break from plodding.

Absolutely - there has been a fair amount of stumbling believe me - and then whatever it takes to get through this - it is just one step at a time - no expectations - take your time and be kind to yourself if you can.
