Introduction
« on: August 24, 2017, 07:32:04 PM »
Hello all,

Just came here on advice from a cancer support group.

I am a British woman in Roma and I just lost my ex-partner Luca - he had a gruelling 6 month battle with lung cancer, discovered when it was already late stage (bone mets)...it is very fresh, I'm still exhausted, having been heavily involved in his care...and his suffering ended 4 days ago...

My mum has come over to support me - but will leave the day after tomorrow...I fortunately have a good network of friends...but know that sometimes friends cannot always be there...so I thought I would join here - foreseeing a future of waves of grief... Luca was a very important person in my life...

Ok, I think that will do for now - going to make mum and me some food...better than all the cigarettes I have been smoking this last few months...

Best wishes everyone,

Emma
