I agrewe Brian - ring pulls are the best. I don't have an electric can opener but it never ceases to impress me how inventive people are when it comes to the various aids that are available to help people with difficulties. I keep a 'picker upper' hanging in my kitchen because the floor seems to keep receding from my reach and after struggling with my socks for too long, I found a gizmo with long tapes that pulls them on for you - brilliant . Something similar to your can opener, I had to buy a bottle and jar top remover a while ago when I found I couldn't get into a jar of pickled gherkins - easy peasy now .

I'm sure we're all the same Brian, so many little things and moments that trigger painful memories. I have several triggers but one of them is when I'm cleaning my teeth in the mornings. I think it's because I just stand there letting my mind wander. the electric brush does all the work  . When my mind is blank I have sudden flashbacks to the really bad times during Chris' illness. It's just as well that I'm at the sink when it happens, I can give my face a rinse and wash the tears away. They are just moments though and I soon get on with things again as we all do  :cray:.

:hug:just as i was reading through the queen song "the show must go on" is on the radio -and that is what we are all doing too a degree, the face we show too others and the internal talks we have with ourselves but it doesnt have too here -this is backstage where the costume and the make-up can come off and the real emotions are allowed .
