Hello everyone
« on: June 30, 2018, 11:42:17 AM »
Greetings from a new member.  I lost my wife a few months ago and have a very thin shell over my emotions, but otherwise I've been getting on OK since then, with some good friends to help and advise.  I didn't know about the stages of grief until one of them referred to it.  In exploring the subject I have learned more about what i can expect and also came upon Bereavementuk.  I don't have any particular reason for joining just now but I expect I will glad of your understanding and support as time goes by.

I have realised that I now have few friends who are not grieving for someone.  Being 80 has something to do with that.  The knowledge gives one a sense of fellow-feeling and an urge towards kindness which is comforting.  I hope that will continue.
