I constantly have regrets about things that happen which Chris is no longer here to see Brian. I just got back from our Great Granddaughters first birthday party. The whole family were there and, as usual I sat quietly in the corner just thinking to myself how happy Chris would have been  :cray:.

With a bit of luck you might get a nice big bunch of Palm Nuts to follow after the flowersd Brian .
I'll never get over losing her and I used to think that eventually
I would learn to live with it - that's not happened yet.

I've got a long term project on digitising all my old photos Brian and I know exactly what you mean about "bad idea" because I mostly end up with tears running down my cheeks . I scanned a set of 35mm  negatives today from a holiday we had in Skiathos and that brought back some very happy memories before the longing overwhelmed me. We hired a boat there and found a tiny inaccesible beach where we spent an idyllic afternoon  :cray:

I've done a fair bit of 'video grabbing' from VHS, MiniDV, 8mm and Hi8 tapes in the past. If you're working with an analogue source then the USB video grabbers that are available work very well. The trouble is that as soon as you think that you're all set up, they introduce a new standard and all your old tapes, DVD's and video files are out of date. Windows 10 updates also plays havoc with system drivers as well. If I ever complete my mission I'lll have compiled everything to .mp4 videos which I store on my network drive. My problem is that while I'm trying to put the old stuff in some sort of order, I keep getting swamped by new images and video from all the family
I'll never get over losing her and I used to think that eventually
I would learn to live with it - that's not happened yet.

ohhh... Bread Makers - a slippery slope. I have to ration myself to 'baking' no more than once a fortnight. A normal loaf lasts me 7 - 10 days but when I make my own it's fatal. A loaf has been know to disappear before it's even had the chgance to go cold  :cheesy:. A large loaf (1lb 5oz dry ingredients) takes me less than 1 minute then the machine takes over and 4 hours later a perfect loaf every time. I always make half and half wholemeal and white.

Is Tonto in the field on his own, or has he got the ladies in there with him to keep him in order  - mind you they can be just as bad

Ooo, I love my breadmaker - the smell of fresh bread wafts around the house near the end of cooking :-)  and can do different flavour ones, like cheese, or olives
I do gluten free now.  Fresh bread doesnt last as long, but then it's always eaten faster as tastes so good so never a problem! :-) xx

 they are cheeky buggers!!
My foxes stole the washing up brush I use for cleaning the bird bath - only realised when I saw the big spoon I use halfway down the garden (I use it to scoop the water out, and  they were outside drying)
Hope you get on ok hopping in your boot!! Xx

I've got an image in my mind - a three cornered hat, a parrot on the shoulder, rasing a tankard of rum and saying oh-arrrr.... me hearties  (well a wellington is a little bit like a sea boot).
