Thank you Norma,  I hope you too have a good 2017 full of contentment, and that applies to everyone on here,  we can only hope that 2017 brings a little relieve to those still grieving,  in truth I doubt we will ever stop grieving for our loved ones inside but maybe with time it becomes that little more bearable.

A few days in, likely back to work now,  how are you all doing?

I'm still waking up in the morning feeling coldy, bit sniffly during the day but at least the hacking cough has passed now. Just need to get rid of this last bit. Back to work Tues, which wasn't too bad - although felt odd trying to sit still concentrating for that length of time, I had become too used to moving about & variety when I was off!

My non working day yesterday and had such a lovely day. A slow start, avocado + spinach on toast for a relaxing/not rushed breakfast. My mum came up for lunch then spent some time talking me through/showing me how to use my new sewing machine. :-)
back to reality again today, but at least working from home today.

My friend gave me a colouring diary for Xmas, I've decided to use it as a gratitude diary - each day I'm going to write a positive item I'm grateful for. It is scientifically proven this helps (gets our minds to focus on, and find, more positives)  we had a section on the old forum of writing down 5 positives a day, and it helped then too

Xx

Hold on in there xx

 wishing you a peaceful new year Norma (but not too peaceful we need your lively personality)
Also back at work, still feeling a bit jetlagged and the cold is driving me mad,Keep forgetting its only January so perfectly normal.I started a walking and healthy diet campaign while I was away, but walking through flower meadows under bluegum trees is infinitely more desirable than walking in the dark and cold and  I have no opportunity to get food in until Saturday so its back to baked beans until then, but I,m being good and havnt unpacked the chocolates from my suitcase yet.Your breakfast sounds lovely Emz .

Still thinking about dog fostering which would force me to walk in all conditions, but it still feels a bit too soon after Ben,So I,m focussing my energy's on the house for now, thinking scandi/Nordic look for the kitchen.Something I can live with but can be neutral enough for future viewers.Watched a design programme last night and made a "mood board"  I also got drawing and writing books for Xmas so am thinking of new ways to fill them.I like your idea Emz.

I'm back at work and getting over Christmas quite well.

I had to rush to take the decorations down tonight. I've just finished and the house looks really bare without the trees, lights and tinsel. It also looks like somebody has thrown a glitter grenade in. The vacuum is going to be doing overtime for weeks. Even the dog twinkles.
